Petrol Small Tools
Using small fuelled tools poses potential dangers to both you and those in the surrounding areas. In order to eliminate risks, it is important to be aware of how to safely operate, inspect, and maintain these tools. This course provides all of the information you will need to maintain a high level of safety whilst using small fuelled tools.
Duration: This is a half day course
In order to legally use small fuel-powered tools, it is essential that you have attended a course of this nature. The aim of this course is to ensure that all participants are able to confidently use small fuelled tools, are aware of the personal protective necessary, inspections, and working in compliance with legislation.
The course will cover a range of different aspects surrounding small fuel-powered tools, including:
- Health & Safety legislation & regulations
- Personal protective equipment
- Fuel safety
- 2 stroke and 4 stroke machine start-up procedures
- Pre-use checks
- Equipment safety and operation
The course concludes with an assessment that will cover everything you have learnt throughout the day.

This course is completely necessary if you use small fuel-powered tools in the workplace. Without learning all of the information that the course provides, you may put yourself and others at risk. It is also vital that you attend this course to ensure you are working in compliance with legislation.
Once you have successfully completed the course, you will be awarded an HSS certificate of attendance.
