IPAF Demonstrator Course
The IPAF demonstrator course has been designed specifically for people who need to demonstrate the control functions and safety features of a MEWP to a trained operator.
This training programme has the same machine categories as the operator programme. This is designed for candidates who have previous knowledge and practical use of the machine being trained on and have held a PAL card in that category for at least 3 months.
Number of Delegates: Maximum 6 for 1 category or 4 for 2 categories
Duration: 1 Day
The course is run over a minimum of seven hours, there will be a refreshment break midmorning and lunch break. We supply tea and coffee free of charge but would ask you to bring a light packed lunch. There are food retail outlets near the centre if you wish to purchase food.
The day starts with a theory session ending in a test paper, don’t worry we will make sure you have all the information to succeed in the test. Once you have passed your test and had lunch you will be given a full walk around the explanation of the machines and functions will be demonstrated. After some time familiarising with the machine you will be asked to complete a driving course to show your new skills that you learnt when carrying out the IPAF demonstrator course.
Our IPAF Training Courses requires each candidate to provide the following PPE:
- Hard hat
- Safety glasses/goggles
- Hi-Vis Vest or Shirt
- Safety boots (steel toecap)
- Full Body Safety Harness with Short/Adjustable Restraint Lanyard (both in date)
- Wet weather clothing
If you require any items of PPE or harness and lanyard we can supply at a reasonable cost on site. (we do loan harnesses and lanyards for the course but you would be better off in your own gear.)
